Home Hotel Gabelshus
Gabelshus is located in calm and classic surroundings in Frogner. The building, dating back to 1912, features 111 hotel rooms spread across five floors and is known for its lush façade. In its early years, the hotel was run by strong women: Barbara Larssen, Sofie Sommerfeldt, and Agathe Riekeles.
The newly refurbished interior draws inspiration from the building’s more than one-hundred-year history, when it was originally built as a guesthouse. At the time, managing director Sofie Sommerfeldt lived on-site among the guests, accompanied by her two free-flying parrots – a detail subtly reflected in the design choices.
Norco Hospitality was responsible for concept development, design, production, and delivery of all fixed interiors, loose furniture, and lighting for both guest rooms and public areas in this project.
