SUSTAINABILITY IS OUR MINIMUM REQUIREMENT.

“At Norco Hospitality, we believe that people build businesses by doing business the “right” way. This principle guides everything we do – honoring our commitments to customers, treating employees with respect, delivering value to owners, creating a positive impact in the communities where we live and work, and taking action to reduce our environmental footprint.”

Sustainable operations

Like ripples on the water, our decisions affect both people and the environment – every day. For many years, Norco Hospitality has actively worked to ensure that the products and services we deliver take the greatest possible social and environmental responsibility throughout their entire life cycle.

We know that we cannot change the world alone – but together we can make a real difference. That opportunity is something we embrace in close collaboration with our customers and suppliers.

Together with our customers, we develop high-quality projects and products that reflect their brand identity and values. With our suppliers, we collaborate to improve both social and environmental conditions where our products are manufactured. We strive for openness and transparent dialogue throughout the supply chain, with the goal of continuously driving improvements and supporting suppliers who have come the furthest in their sustainability efforts.

Our focus on sustainability helps us minimize negative impact while contributing to positive change. For people. For the planet. And for the business.

Efficiency and environmental responsibility

At Norco Hospitality, we work to make the entire value chain more efficient – with lower emissions and less waste. Through responsible choices of suppliers, materials, production methods, and transportation, we contribute to more sustainable outcomes from idea to finished interior solution.

Within our own operations, we have for many years conducted active environmental and sustainability efforts, both socially and environmentally. We continue to drive development forward with the goal of building a long-term, sustainable business.

Sustainability requirements in the supply chain

For us, it is essential that sustainability permeates the entire value chain. We therefore set clear requirements that the materials and products we purchase are produced in a responsible and sustainable manner. Through our Code of Conduct, we ensure that our suppliers follow clear guidelines. Depending on the relationship, maturity level, and risk profile, we monitor compliance using various methods and tools.

Energy-efficient production

As a manufacturer, we have a clear objective: to reduce our total energy consumption while increasing the share of renewable energy. This work is driven by both environmental considerations and cost efficiency. Our production facilities are continuously upgraded with modern systems to reduce energy use and climate impact. In 2023, for example, we installed solar panels at our production unit in Ciechanów, Poland.

Sustainable transportation

Transportation accounts for a significant portion of our indirect emissions. We actively work to reduce these without compromising efficiency. Through local presence, smart logistics, and improved transport solutions, we reduce both emissions and costs – to the benefit of our customers. The ability to produce and deliver locally is an important factor in our business decisions and contract negotiations.

Business ethics

Through Norco Hospitality’s policies, all employees have a clear framework for business ethics. Ethical guidelines are also communicated to the Group’s suppliers through a shared supplier policy.

In accordance with the Code of Conduct, Norco Hospitality has zero tolerance for all forms of bribery and corruption.

Norco Hospitality regularly conducts and evaluates internal controls across all companies, ensuring effective operations, reliable financial reporting, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Human rights

Norco Hospitality respects human rights and takes responsibility across all areas of its operations. We work to identify, prevent, and ensure that negative impacts on human rights do not occur in any part of our value chain, and to take immediate action if such cases are identified.

Human rights are primarily governed through our Code of Conduct and Supplier Code of Conduct. The main principles are summarized below.

Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
All employees at Norco Hospitality have the right to freely form, join, or refrain from joining a trade union of their choice and have the right to collective bargaining.

Forced and compulsory labor

All work must be voluntary. Norco Hospitality does not permit any form of forced or compulsory labor. All employees have the right to terminate their employment in accordance with agreements or applicable laws.

Child labor

No form of child labor or exploitation of children may occur in Norco Hospitality’s value chain. Neither Norco Hospitality nor its suppliers may employ workers who have not completed compulsory schooling or who are under the age of 15. Young workers under the age of 18 must not perform hazardous or heavy work or work night shifts.

Workplace conditions and compensation
Norco Hospitality and its suppliers must provide a healthy and safe working environment in compliance with local laws. Employees are entitled to equal pay for equal work, and Norco Hospitality works to ensure fair and reasonable wages and compensation in line with applicable standards.

Discrimination

Diversity among Norco Hospitality’s employees is encouraged, and discrimination is actively prevented. All employees must be offered equal opportunities, regardless of ethnicity, skin color, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, parental status, marital status, pregnancy, religion, political opinion, ethnic background, social origin, social status, age, trade union membership, or disability.

Harassment in the form of physical or psychological abuse, as well as any form of threat, is strictly prohibited. All employees share responsibility for ensuring this is upheld.

Anti-corruption

Norco Hospitality’s reputation for honesty, integrity, and accountability must be upheld. All forms of bribery, extortion, or corruption are strictly prohibited, and the company works actively to prevent such practices.

Corruption refers to the abuse of a position of trust for personal or business gain, for example through bribery. It is prohibited to offer, promise, give, request, accept, or receive bribes.

Employees must not offer, give, receive, or request gifts, services, entertainment, or other benefits that:

  • Could improperly influence the recipient or harm the company’s or employee’s reputation

This does not prevent modest promotional gifts intended to maintain good business relationships, provided they are given openly and in line with good business practice.

Consumer interests

In dealings with customers and end consumers, Norco Hospitality acts in accordance with fair principles of business, marketing, and advertising. All delivered products and services must meet agreed and legal requirements.
